It's incredible in the video on the next day (05-23-22 ) the mother raccoon came in the nest and killed the eagle baby

These two do get a variety of food! They are 4 weeks old and seem to spend a lot of time next to each other. I felt bad the last three seasons when there was only one in the nest after 4 or five weeks. The tree should start leafing and provide some needed shade.

Admirable how the parents show the gosling to dump and all the things they can do in the water and on the ground. These chicks grow so fast 😮

Very surprised how big thils duckling has grown in one week after jumping off nest. Hopefully other geese in area have adopted other two ducklings--one of which is known to have jumped off nest and survived the plunge to ground. Certainly a # of Q. about Parents only waiting for one to jump and swam off with it soon after.

They have a large variety of food. Yesterday they had turtle. They seem to be doing well. Thank you for the video.

Were these the same pair that co-opted this nest the last two years? That pair were very diligent in calling until all six goslings jumped to join them. This time...one was plenty. Forget the other two. And did the one survivor go to a rescue shelter? The third... ?? But the "parenting" skills were so very different this year.

Oh the weather has been lousy poor Ma and Eaglets 😢. But they seem strong 💪🤞🤞

I worry about it being a wise choice them out in the open like that, that's where our eagles hunt and fish.

The 2 chicks did not see Ma flying away 🙈 poor babies. I guess the strong wind was not in their favor either ...😢

Does anyone know what happened with the 2nd and 3rd goslings that did not make the jump? I notice the live cam is only playing recaps. So what up? Did all 3 make it safely to Mom and Dad?
